Attention: Web Developers
As the owner of GiftsForYou.Biz, I also have many (many) other interests as well. One of the skills that allowed me to start GiftsForYou.Biz was my ability and desire to learn web development. I've spent the last three years continuously expanding these skills, at the same time learning more about what could better assist both the general public (tailoring the GiftsForYou.Biz web site and adding additional features and services) as well as the web development community.
This little blurb is geared towards the web development community. It is a little program that I wrote that I have submitted to (and which was accepted by) an online community called SourceForge.Net*. SourceForge, or SF.net, specializes in hosting and sharing programs that developers like me want to make available to other developers (and some end users) for free, under a very popular license, which is known as GPL, or General Public License (managed by OSI*).
The name of this program is "Database Record Selector and Editor", or DB-RSE. It allows web developers access to tables in their database, allows them to display records in their tables, and edit them. Although there are other database editors out there, this one has only two files, so is very easy for almost any web developer to install anywhere. Although this may not mean much to you as a visitor of GiftsForYou.Biz (or it may), it is a great step forward for me as both the owner of GiftsForYou.Biz, as well as a web developer. And aside from being able to develop something that is accepted by a community such as SourceForge, I've used open source applications from there myself, so its very nice to be able to give back to the community in this way.
If you're interested, you can find the DB-RSE at: DB-RSE - Database Record Selector and Editor by Keith D Commiskey
