GiftsForYou.Biz Site - Themed Icons
The navigation menu icons have been changed to better reflect the color and "gift" theme that the site has headed into. In addition, the Search, About Us, Customer Service, and View Cart buttons have changed and are now rollovers...
Products and Services - Categories
Category Split: The "candles" category has been split into "candles" and "candleholders". There were over 150 'candles' which weren't all candles. Oils and incense had been separated out about 6 months ago.
These two categories are side by side, and are subcategories of "Special Occassions -> Mothers Day" and "For the Home".
Hopefully, this will help someone, somewhere, at sometime... ;-)

GiftsForYou.Biz Site - Aesthetic Alterations
The Crystal Community Section has had some changes made to it. Public linking is now allowed, a stats link is on the title menu, 2 new polls have been added, and I've added a new news article (basically mentioning what was mentioned here, previously ... had to get something going ;-) ).
In addition to the Crystal Community changes, I also modified the colors here that you're looking at. If it looks okay to you, and you wouldn't have even thought twice about it, then it must have turned out alright.

The main title image has been updated (upgraded). At least, I hope its an upgrade. Things like this are so subjective... but change is necessary and (typically) good. If I get any ahem's over it, I can always revert. But I think it's yet another step in a good direction.

GiftsForYou.Biz Site - Blog Viewer Comments (Blogger Feedback)
I have installed a "commenting system" for the Blogger system. I went with PosterChild. It does not support pop-ups, html or href tags, but at this point, I consider these to all be benefits. Lack of html and href tags especially will prevent slammers and spammers.
Nonetheless, comment away. I'd love to get some feedback. We do our best to act (and respond) as quickly as possible here at GiftsForYou.Biz.

A great article on both Privacy and Security. Excellent information. I was researching an online store, as I do with any company before I give them my personal information, and came across this.
Oh, how do I research an online store? I do a search in Google Groups for the name of the company (using 2 or 3 different wordings), and see what comments people may have had. If there are any negative comments, I weigh them heavily as to how they might pertain to me (what affects a few others, doesn't necessarily mean it'll affect me). But hopefully, I won't see too much negativity for any one company.
I've avoided some serious pitfalls using Google Groups. These blogs will come in handy too as a research tool (especially for those companies that are on the up-and-up, but are too small and can't afford to be a member of the BBB).
Anyway, excellent article on privacy and security. Couples well with our own Privacy Policy.

Practical Web Projects
I'm currently reading this month's Practical Web Projects magazine (#19). The magazine is printed in the UK, and all the currency reflects the Euro (-L-) ... I believe that's what the symbol represents.
It's not that I think anyone will care what "I" am reading, but I highly recommend it; whether you're a web person or just a casual surfer (but then, that's another blog post). I need to block out about 6 hours for just reading anymore. So much information, so many things to check out, and so many web sites to visit.
I'll be sure to post anything learned... especially with regards to GiftsForYou.Biz. I'm determined to see our site soar, and to make it as pleasurable to view as our crystal figurines.
